Road Trip and Renegade Craft Summary

We went on a road trip this weekend and I wanted to share some photos with you!

I heard about Renegade Craft Fair last year and didn't have a chance to make it to Austin from Dallas. So, this year, I put it on my calendar and didn't want to miss it! Its a bunch of indie designers who make handmade goods- like a craft fair for Etsy shops!

We stopped by my FAVORITE small town, Gruene, Texas, on the way..
and made a couple of trips to the fantastic San Marcos outlets. Nice.

Once we got to the fair, there were all kinds of creative and fun things! I loved this plush food with cute faces. They even had a fortune cookie in a little Chinese take out box. So adorable.  I mean, you can't look at cute food with eyeballs and not feel a little happier.

I loved these knitted dolls that are fashioned after celebrities. Do you recognize anyone?

Here is a mishmash of what you might have seen if you walked the aisles at Renegade...

Is it weird that my other favorite thing is also a food related knitting item?

These are cheeseburger mittens. How funny is that?! I am not sure that I am the person that can pull this look off, but I sure did think they were fun!
Here is the designer in a Pizza Scarf. That just cracks me up! Her site is FULL of crazy, unique things!

Thanks for coming on our trip! Hope you were able to shop vicariously through these photos...

Ballard Designs Recreated

Have you ever seen the catalog from Ballard designs? I am pining over these pillows. I LOVE them.

I think they are so cute and would look great on my bed :)

I thought this canvas was really cute when I saw it in the catalog, and lo-and-behold someone found a thrifty way to re-create it. Thrifty AND cute- you are speaking my language!

Stores to Shop:Andersons

If my house looked like this I might never leave home....

Probably the only way this is gonna happen is if I pitch a tent in my new favorite store, Andersons!

This wonderful store is full of eye candy. They have several locations around Dallas, and it pretty much all to die for. If you are not in Dallas, you can check them out online, too.

I was lucky enough to borrow a lamp from here to use for my TV appearances. The lamp was super cool with a price tag to match and I was so nervous to lug it around! Thankfully, I made it back with it all in one piece.

I am not receiving anything for blogging about my favorite stores- I just want to share the places I love with you!

Have you been to Anderson's? What did you want/buy?

Serve tea, treats and delicacies on Rosanna, Inc.'s Le Petit Hameau porcelain, named for Marie Antoinette's 'little village' amidst the gardens of Versailles. These plates revive the classic beauty of 18th century toile in sumptuous pink and deep charcoal hues sure to make already scrumptious treats all the more mouth-watering.

Jessie Steele is a line of high quality hostess aprons crafted for the domestic goddess. Featuring lively colors and strong black and white combinations with flirty patterns and cuts, this line brings a vintage-like quality back to your kitchen!

Give cleaning new meaning with chic and stylish pink Gloveables, dressed up with ruffles in a sassy zebra print and black bow. Thicker than standard rubber gloves, waterproof Gloveables are tough enough to protect your manicure while cleaning, dish washing and even gardening.

In November and December we will have special decorating ideas coming, so check back regularly! These will not be posted on the first of the month for the next couple of months due to special Christmas posting. Gift ideas will pick up again after the first of the year!

Isn't this cute? It can be customized with whatever word or name you want!

I love this! I have a thing for the Union Jack. I think my son would be precious is this. And love what the shop says for the description, "This is not the Queen's version. This is the British rock star's version." Funny!

Road trip to my favorite store- final trip!

Welcome back to Cloverleaf.
Last time we explored the outdoors of my favorite place, and today is the best part-- the inside!
The creativity the owner, Heidi, uses in her display, and the selections of fabulous products make this a great stop on a roap trip and a wonderful place to be inspired!

My husband and I cannot resist the funky glasses! He chooses 70’s bug-eye vibe, I
opt for girly bling.

Frames, pillows, jewelry…so much to look at!

This rack is full of amazing options for your next craft or home display.
I covet this glitter!

The display of crowns is begging me to try one on and crown myself the “cute card queen”!!

There are buckets of tiles, squares and letters. I was happy to find I could spell one of my favorites names!

Thanks for joining me on this road trip! Next time I will crunch you in my suitcase and take you to see it all in person!
