Yes, friends, that was us in the middle of Tropical Storm Fay. Sopping wet. At Disney World. It was a little nuts, but the last time we went as a family to Big DW, it was right after 9-11, so I figure a Hurricane is a big improvement!
Nonetheless, I am super happy to be home and back filling orders! The teacher cards are going like hotcakes! (Actually, I have no idea why that is a figure of speech. Has anyone bought vast amounts of hotcakes? Me neither! And if I did, I think I would call them PANCAKES!) So, the teacher cards are NOT going like pancakes....or something like that. Anyway, I am glad they are filling a need for a inexpensive and personal gift. Teachers work SO hard so they deserve something cute!
I did a card with a teacher with glasses- I liked the look the glasses gave her. Doesn't she look smart?? It was a little weird, after doing teacher note cards for 2 years, through school starting, Christmas, teaching appreciation week, and school ending, that this was the FIRST set of glasses I have put on a teacher. Crazy. I guess maybe glasses are optional for a lot of people? Hm. Don't know.
This is a variation of an invitation on the website. Kristen (the client/friend!) had the idea to take off the image and added the personalized names, and with a scrolly-thing, I think it is a great new cowboy-chic look! I am in love with the font that has their names- it is my new "go-to" font!
So, that's the news from my end! There truly is no place like home, huh?
Have a great week of starting school- or whatever you may be doing!
