Road Trip Shopping Detour

On the way to Gruene, we took a pit stop in Waco, Texas, home of Spice.

This store is very eclectic - it has furniture, gift stuff, clothes, jewelry- you name it- there is something for everyone. So, it was a great place to stop with 10 other women! And its a huge old warehouse, so its has ambiance and a lot of space.
Is this a Spice Commerical? Why, yes, I think it is. :) I do love it that much.

It was funny when people couldn't remember the name of Spice, and started calling it Sprinkles. By the end of the trip, we were calling it Sparkles. Random.
So, finally, we got back on the road, and made our way here:

Gruene Hall is the oldest dance hall in Texas and has commericals and movies filmed there. Did you see "Michael" with John Travolta? The dance scene was filmed there. Cool.

The Gristmill is an old Cotton Gin turned into a restaurant. Its open air and overlooks the Guadalupe River. So great. It was a beautiful night when we ate dinner there and had such a great vibe. They also have "Gruene beans' on the menu. Get it? Gruene beans? I got such a kick out of that one. :)

The antique finds are tomorrow- hurry back!
