Check out this photographer....

My college roommate, Shannon Ho, is featured in the book, "Wedding Photography Unveiled: Inspiration and Insight from 20 Top Photographers." I told her that I am glad that everyone is catching on to what I knew years ago! She is super talented, but what I love more than that is her sweet heart!

You can view her site . Here is what her blog says about the book....

All I can say is, “wow”! We are humbled to be chosen as one of twenty photographers from across the nation to be included in Jacqueline Tobin’s new book, “Wedding Photography Unveiled: Inspiration and Insight from 20 Top Photographers.” Jacqueline has been the Deputy Editor of PDN Magazine for over 20 years, and truly understands the art and beauty of wedding photography. She reveals techniques, strategies and philosophies from the nation’s best for visually capturing the wedding day.
The book merges artistry with the practical tools necessary to equip budding photographers for the wedding industry as well as inspire seasoned ones. This PDN Pro Series book is in stores now and can be ordered at www.amazon.com and Barnes & Noble bookstores.

If you need a fabulous photographer in the Norman, Oklahoma area, she's your girl! And she travels, I think...
Yea Shannon!!

What I am doing this week...

Well, its beautiful in Texas this week, so it really hard to stay focused! The days are sunny and warm and I am back to my favorite shoes- my flipflops.

My very favorite flip flops are called Yellowbox. I know I talk about flip flops a lot- I am a die-hard fan of not wearing socks! :)

We went to the mall, saw a movie, rented another movie, and have been working in our yard. I happened upon a coupon blog as well, and am having a lot of fun saving money!!

I also found a great LOST clue that was really interesting...courtesy of the Fuselage...

Transcript from "The Other Woman" in season 4.[Juliet sits on the couch is in Harper's office.] HARPER: So, Juliet, what do you think of Ben?
JULIET: He's great. Uh, very smart... and intense. Challenging. He's been really good to me. HARPER: Of course he has. You look just like her.
JULIET: I'm sorry?

I always assumed Juliet reminded Ben of Annie, his boyhood girlfriend, but...Could a young Ben Linus develop a crush on 1970's Juliet LaFleur? Hmmm...

So, that's my update. Nothing too exciting, but a fun time! More soon!

My *PINK* party

I just celebrated my 30th birthday, and my husband threw me a pink party! I like pink...I am not sure if you can tell by my cards...:)
Here are some highlights!
Everyone wore pink- even the guys! (well, the brave ones!) I told them they must be secure in their manhood to wear pink!

Pretty in Pink was playing on the tv, and the Ipod playlist had songs about pink on it! It was quite suprising how many there were...

It was a super fun party, and so great to have so many of my favorite people in one place! My mom and sister did a great job on the pink decor and we all had a ball!

I had never heard of Orla Kiely...

So when I saw her line that she launched in Target, I felt happy to have found her!

I might have mentioned that I am {attempting} to organized things in my office at home, so it was a great opportunity to snatch up some functional things with style!
Here is what I got:

A magazine/paper organizer...

2 "Catch all" bins- brown and blue, please....

An over the door shoe organizer, which I used to stash ribbon, glue, glitter and stuff for mail outs. Perfect!

An after looking at her official website, I am very happy with my Target discount price, too! :)

New baby boy invitation

The bedding Rebecca is using for her new baby boy is adorable- browns, orange and blue polka dots. I based this design on her bedding. It is similar to the Dwell fabric shown above...

Instead of perfect circles, I traced the circle with an imperfect stroke, and made the childlike dots. Kinda like coloring outside of the lines!
